The first Kulturlaube

This year there is a great new addition to the Stuttgarter Weindorf – the BW-Bank Kulturlaube at the intersection of Schillerplatz and Richard-von-Weizsäcker-Planie. Here, all the Stuttgarter Weindorf events will take place, as well as countless cultural programs, from comedy to clowning, singing, music and dance to the popular Weindorf-Talks in cooperation with SWR4, Stuttgarter Nachrichten and Stuttgarter Zeitung.

The Weindorf-Talks, entertaining and casual talks by celebrities from culture, sports, politics, business and urban society, take place on the following evenings from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the BW-Bank Kulturlaube:

Hour of Diversity
Monday, September 4, 2023

In cooperation with IG CSD Stuttgart eV - Stuttgart Pride, we celebrate a colorful hour of diversity with music and the best entertainment in the BW-Bank Kulturlaube. Variety and diversity are important components of our event and are particularly important to the organizers. Look forward to great music and the best atmosphere.

Traditional grape pressing
Tuesday, September 5, 2023

On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the traditional grape pressing will take place at the BW-Bank Kulturlaube.

Each year it is great fun when city councillors, members of the Bundestag and state parliament climb into the tub following the old tradition of former Mayor Manfred Rommel and stomp the grapes with their – obviously – freshly washed feet. Former Mayor Rommel revived this tradition many years ago. The event is organized and carried out in the usual manner by our Weindorf winemakers Andreas Zaiß and Fritz Currle.

2 Weindorf church services
Sunday, September 3 and 10

In good tradition, we start the Sundays with our short church services – this year for the first time at the BW-Bank Kulturlaube at the intersection of Schillerplatz and Richard-von-Weizsäcker-Planie with wonderful musical company.

At 12 p.m. (noon) we listen to:

September 3, 2023

Father Hans Hilt and Franciscan Sister Marie Pasquale accompanied by the street band led by Uli Gutscher.

September 10, 2023

Collegiate Matthias Vosseler and Deputy City Dean Matthias Haas musically accompanied by the Weindorf Brass led by Friedrich Hornung.

The popular family Sundays have become an indispensable part of the Stuttgarter Weindorf.

There is plenty on offer for our younger guests: mascot parade, face painting, storytellers, Weindorf rally with great prizes, sports and games, hundreds of colorful balloons, clowns and much more.
